Team Lead Background Investigator – TS

As a Team Lead Background Investigator, you will support a large national background investigations (BI) program that provides investigative products and services to departments and agencies of the federal government. As a Team Lead you will be required to manage the day-to-day caseload for team members and ensure their work is completed promptly and accurately. You will be responsible for the team’s achievement of established metrics and for any remaining administrative duties associated with the team of employees. Responsibilities:
- Coverage Locations: Capital Region Area
- Responsible for managing both employee and 1099 day-to-day job functions to include but not limited to the following:
- Case assignments
- Case updates
- Lead or participate in bi-weekly meetings
- Maintain Monthly Production Stats for your team
- Quality / Timeliness / Production
- Timecards and other administrative functions
- Report any disciplinary actions
- Must have the ability to train and mentor newer or struggling investigators
- Requires extensive knowledge and experience as background investigator to include general knowledge with FIS and client requirements
- Ensure policies and procedures are understood and followed by both employee and 1099 Background Investigators
Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related and/or military experience
- Minimum of Five years of Background Investigators experiences
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision utilizing a home-based office or corporate facility
Security Clearance:
- Must possess an active Top-Secret T5 Clearance
