We are excited to offer an opening for a Sr. Architect in our Mumbai Office (Jogeshwari West) or Bengaluru Office. WD offers a hybrid working model in India - 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home. Our work hours are Monday - Friday, 10AM - 7PM. No weekend work hours.

The Sr. Architect is responsible for the delivery of projects from a defined conceptual design through production and construction phases. You will execute and/or oversee the production of the design and construction documents and coordinate across the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the drawings and specifications properly represent design intent, meet governmental regulations, align with zoning and building codes, and building industry standards. This position will be managing and supporting an established team of designers and Architects.

Some of the ways you'll achieve success:
  • Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team to deliver informed and constructible project solutions
  • Communicate effectively with all team members to ensure understanding of responsibilities, accountabilities and deliverables
  • Lead and/or assist in the production of architectural documentation across all assigned projects
  • Perform and/or verify research and due diligence with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for applicable codes respective to each project location
  • Participate in construction administration activities including RFI's, shop drawing and submittal review, clarifications, change orders and site observations reports
Necessary Experience:
  • Degree in Architecture is required
  • Architectural licensure is preferred
  • Advanced experience in architectural design with the ability to provide technical training and direction at all levels, from junior Associates to licensed Architects
  • Prior success in management and leadership
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and SketchUp is preferred
  • Experience working on architectural projects for retail, big-box, restaurant, grocery or other relevant industry verticals
  • Prior experience working within the US or working with US-based companies is helpful
