What You'll Do:
In accordance with Wallick Mission and Values, the Network Engineer supports the design, configuration, and maintenance of network and unified communications (UC) systems. This role performs non-manual systems analysis and engineering tasks, focusing on standard configurations, systems improvements, documentation, and monitoring. 

Qualifications Required:

  • 2-4 years of experience in network or unified communications/support engineering.
  • Knowledge of Teams Phone, switching basics, VLANs, QoS fundamentals
  • Associate degree in IT or equivalent experience

Licenses/Certifications: All below certifications are desired but not required

  • CompTIA Network+

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Design, develop and deploy unified communication systems that integrate messaging, voice, video, collaboration tools, faxing, and cellular technologies. 
  • Maintenance and Incidence Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot unified communication infrastructure, including servers, gateways, routers, switches, cellular networks, and related devices. 
  • Network and Performance Monitoring: Ensure systems meet performance, availability, and security requirements through monitoring, testing, and tuning. 
  • Design and implementation of low voltage systems. 
  • Documentation and Governance: Maintain accurate system documentation, including port maps, cable labeling, and test results to ensure compliant network layouts.
