The work - How you will contribute: In accordance with the Wallick Mission and Values, The Project Manager will assist in the management of multiple strategic projects by coordinating the project teams, creating schedules, tracking the progress of projects, and reporting their results. This position will also help to build enterprise project management processes and tools, supporting the organization through training, documentation, and mentorship.
This position is located in Columbus, Ohio and the successful candidate will reside in Central Ohio - this position is in office and not a remote position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic project management projects in both Information Technology and other strategic business units, including coordinating a project team, creating project plans and other project deliverables, and facilitating team meetings.
- Track projects against schedule, reporting status on a regular basis.
- Create strategies for risk mitigation, contingency planning, and efficiently identify and solve project issues.
- Help configure and administer enterprise-wide project management tool; includes training end-users, creating documentation, conducting training, and configuring SharePoint based tool.
- Document standard business processes in order to facilitate creating standard project management processes and other efficiencies across the organization.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience as a project manager with a focus on construction projects, operations project support, corporate department projects, and some IT project support.
- Knowledge of basic project management methodologies and tools.
- Highly proficient in managing a large volume of projects to an on time and at budget result.
- Proficient in PM tools and technical writing.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
