In this Sexual Assault and Harassment Prevention and Response Program Administrative Assistant role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide specialized administrative and writing support for the Sexual Assault and Harassment Prevention and Response (SAHPR) Program. This includes supporting the development, review, and maintenance of policies, procedures, guidance documents, FAQs, and other materials related to sexual assault and harassment prevention and response.
  • Conduct research and analysis, perform rigorous editorial reviews, and produce clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate communications that reflect agency policy, regulatory requirements, and NSF Office of the Director practices.
  • Support the development, review, modification, and maintenance of new and current Sexual Assault and Harassment Prevention and Response Program (SAHPR) regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Support the development of SAHPR-related policies, guidance, standard operating procedures, and FAQs in a manner to ensure they are clear, consistent, and easy for employees and stakeholders to understand and access.
  • Write and edit high-quality products that effectively explain and interpret the Agency's stance on sexual violence issues. Supports the drafting of responses to ensure accuracy, clarity, conciseness, and adherence to the NSF Style Guide.
  • Conduct editorial reviews for grammar, style, consistency, and clarity of presentation considering the intended audience, potential policy implications, and compliance with both Agency and the NSF Office of the Director (OD) practices and policies.
  • Assist in the preparation and editing of products intended for a variety of audiences to explain and interpret complex policies, programs, and functions of the SAHPR program.
  • Perform research and analysis to inform the establishment or revisions of policies, procedures, guidelines, and/or informational materials and products. Technical writing and editing assignments often require substantial analysis to present convincing evidence of new findings or to present accurate and critical information.

Job requirements

  • Proven experience as a Proposal Processing Administrative Support or in other similar position.
  • Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Conduct research using internal sources in order to write and edit content.
  • Gather, develop and check accuracy of information by coordinating with the meeting lead and subject matter experts and program officials.
  • 3-5 years of experience distilling complex and/or technical subjects into plain language for a diverse range of audiences.  
Basic Qualifiers:  
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree  
  • Can Additional Years of Experience Substitute for Degree? No 
  • Minimum Years of Overall Experience: 3 
  • Desired Certification and Training: Trauma Informed Care Certification, Victim Advocacy training, Title IX Training, EEO 
  • Minimum Clearance to Start: Public Trust  
  • Work Status Allowable: US Citizen  or Permanent Resident   
 
Travel and Telecommuting: 
  • Travel: Some (between 10-25%)   
  • Telecommute Options: On site. Ability to work core hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
