Field Sales Representative - Higher Ed (Pacific North West)
Description
- Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business consistently to achieve sales quotas
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key education professionals
- Develop a strong understanding of customer needs
- Deliver impactful and engaging virtual and live presentations that show how our solutions can help solve their challenges and achieve learning outcomes
- Partner with sales support team and customer success to ensure a customers’ needs are understood and met
- Travel as needed within the territory for customer meetings, industry events and attend company events
- Effectively analyze, plan and manage accounts through consistent and accurate utilization of CRM and other sales tools
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- 2-3+ years' experience in a consultative sales, business development or account management role
- Experience in the education technology (ed-tech), language learning or publishing industry
- Strong technology orientation and experience presenting/demonstrating digital resources/programs both in-person and virtually
- Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively and appropriately speak with customers and team members in a professional and meaningful way
- Advanced territory management, prospecting, building and negotiation skills
- Experience using a CRM and other sales tools to manage sales activities and analyze related data
- Ability to travel during day and overnight as needed without restriction
- Experience teaching language courses in Higher Education or VHL product familiarity
- Hands-on working knowledge of Salesforce.com
- Proficiency in Spanish, German, French or Italian
- Advanced degree
LOCATION: Remote within the assigned territory. This role is requires residence within one of the territory states in the United States and a willingness to travel as the role requires without restriction. Ideal candidate will reside in the Seattle, Salt Lake City, or Portland and near a major airport. Relocation is not available for this position.
