Visionist is seeking a Reverse Engineer to join a team that provides analysis and solutions to cyber related missions and products. Our customer has a wide variety of products that our team of reverse engineers, embedded developers, and system administrators work together to support. Our developers and reverse engineers are responsible for all aspects of the product development lifecycle, from producing code that runs on a variety of platforms (Windows, Linux, and embedded devices) to providing backend processing and analysis scripts. Development efforts can vary from month to month depending on what our customer needs. Whether it's developing in C/C++ on Windows, writing assembly code for embedded devices, reversing a vulnerability in a piece of firmware, or providing the Python scripts that glue everything together, our engineers are excited by each new opportunity presented to them. Responsibilities:

  • Work with a small team of developers, performing embedded software development with C and conducting reverse engineering on software and firmware.
  • Identify risks, suggest mitigation, track defects, develop resolutions, and report status.

Requirements:

  • Experience coding in C and assembly on Linux, UNIX and/or Windows.
  • Experience using Ghidra and or IDA to reverse engineer software or firmware.
  • Experience eliciting user and system requirements and document requirements in a Concept of Operations (ConOps) document.
  • Knowledge of modular software systems for maximum reuse and maintainability.
  • 7 years of experience with a Bachelors in Computer Science or related field (14 years if no degree).
