What You Will Do:
  • Lead with Purpose: Oversee and coordinate the activities of a talented team, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in the fabrication process. You’ll guide your team to meet production schedules and exceed quality standards while identifying new opportunities to expand our capabilities as sales and market demand evolve.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Use your deep understanding of production processes to identify and implement improvements. By streamlining operations and optimizing workflow, you’ll enhance manufacturing efficiency, drive cost savings, and ensure we deliver top-tier products to our customers.
  • Champion Quality and Compliance: Establish and enforce robust procedures that guarantee the production of high-quality fabricated components. You’ll ensure all processes adhere to Victaulic’s strict quality and safety standards, as well as regulatory requirements, creating a culture of excellence throughout your team.
  • Manage Production and Cost Control: Develop and execute effective production schedules to keep up with demand, all while ensuring we meet our department budget objectives. You'll keep a close eye on key performance metrics to make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Team Development & Leadership: Your leadership will inspire and guide a diverse team of professionals. By providing coaching, mentoring, and training, you’ll help your team grow and improve their job skills, work habits, and safety practices. Performance evaluations and ongoing feedback will be key to fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Collaboration and Problem-Solving: You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to support material quality concerns, ensuring that the team gets the right answers quickly. Your ability to work across departments and find solutions to complex problems will be a huge asset.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. Your technical knowledge will be a key asset in overseeing and optimizing fabrication processes.
  • Proven Leadership: You bring at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams to success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Expertise: You are computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office. You have the ability to learn new software quickly, specifically related to fabrication or welding operations. Blueprint reading and an understanding of schematic drawings are desirable.
  • Manufacturing Savvy: Your hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and equipment means you can make sound decisions and solve problems on the fly. You understand the mechanics of fabrication and welding operations and are capable of overseeing every stage of the production process.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You can effectively communicate with your team, peers, and leadership, ensuring clear expectations and successful project execution. Whether it's written or verbal, your communication skills help drive clarity and alignment across all levels.
  • Problem-Solving & Initiative: You thrive in environments that require critical thinking, problem-solving, and initiative. You can make decisions and prioritize tasks while ensuring your team stays on track to meet company goals.
  • Safety Focused: You’re committed to a zero-incident safety culture and have the experience and knowledge to implement and enforce safety protocols to protect both people and equipment.
  • Physical Stamina: You’re not afraid of rolling up your sleeves—physically demanding tasks are a part of the job. You can lift up to 45 pounds and are comfortable with activities such as bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and climbing as needed in a production environment.
