Senior Engineer – CRI - Confidential Report of Incidence

Responsibilities:
Act as an investigator and facilitator with sales, engineering, legal, and the insurance carriers to resolve matters prior to them reaching litigation.
Advise Victaulic’s insurers of reported incidents allegedly involving Victaulic products resulting in property damages or bodily injury.
Attend job sites and joint product examinations representing Victaulic to determine root cause of reported incidents.
Initiate and draft/revise reports identifying root cause of incident to Victaulic’s insurers, customers, or owners.
Document communications, receipt of materials, photos and findings related to reported incidents. Maintain chain of custody of materials received.
Review expert reports and provide input or rebuttals to Victaulic counsel or insurers.
Provide engineering consulting and potential options to Victaulic’s legal team, sales organization, and insurers to resolve matters prior to litigation.
Assist and advise on litigation matters when requested by Victaulic’s legal counsel.
Identify opportunities for product improvements based on results of examinations or field visits.
Interface with QA, Engineering and Manufacturing on
Interface with product development teams, Quality Assurance, and Victaulic manufacturing facilities to understand requirements and processes used to produce Victaulic products and to address corrective actions to eliminate high impacting (frequency or cost) product issues identified in examinations.
Interface with Finance team to identify accruals established for relevant projects or products.
Communicate reported incident and outcomes to Victaulic’s Executive Management Team.
Maintain evidence locker and litigation hold list in accordance with Victaulic Document Retention Policy.

Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience, B.S. Engineering preferred.
Fundamental knowledge of Victaulic products, their applications and communicating technical aspects of Victaulic products a plus.
Experience working with industry customers in troubleshooting activities preferred.
Knowledge of various systems where Victaulic products are utilized, ASTM standards and other relevant codes and agency listings.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, tact, and professional appearance required.
Organizational skills and ability to set priorities, work proactively, independently, and manage time effectively required.
Willingness and ability to travel, including internationally, up to 30%.
