Engineering Business Development Manager - Infrastructure (Eastern)

Description

The Engineering Business Development Manager (EBDM) will play a critical role in the development and advancement of Victaulic solutions. 
Responsibilities:   
  • Experience developing, managing and growing new business opportunities by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders on a national and global scale
  • Raise awareness of Victaulic’s full range of solutions to both new and existing customers. This will involve conducting regular customer and site visits, as well as developing small discussion groups with owners, developers, and engineers
  • Execute high level networking and social engineering at the customer’s executive level to identify a strategic vision of market trends, new products, and new services for future growth and pipeline fulfillment
  • Through the account conversion process, identify new sales opportunities and communicate with the global regional management team for collaboration of successful construction project management
  • Manage new construction project opportunities by identifying scope, schedule, and influences. This critical information and project development must be communicated to the appropriate global Victaulic teams to maximize revenue
  • Maintain a sound knowledge base across Victaulic’s full scope of market solutions and services
  • Foster close contact with all stakeholders to create, convert and sustain engineering standards to Victaulic
  • Grow our business by meeting set targets and goals
Qualifications (education, experience, personal attributes): 
  • Extensive relevant experience within the construction and engineering fields
  • Proven successful track record, including business development, sales, and account management, achieving targets and complex sales driven at the owner, engineering and developer levels
  • Strong engineering skills in writing and developing design specifications
  • Strong project management skills
  • A self-starter who enjoys working in an autonomous leadership role while being a member of a team of highly skilled colleagues 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel overnight, as necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or construction management strongly preferred.  An MBA is considered a plus
