The Role   

As an Application Engineer, you'll support internal sales with engineering consulting, handling correspondence, joint customer calls, and investigating field installations. You'll address customer inquiries on Victaulic products and may visit their facilities for technical support and seminars.   

What you will do   

  • Participate in product development.
  • Create technical documents and white papers.
  • Investigate product performance issues at field installations and with returned materials.
  • Conduct training sessions and presentations for new Victaulic employees, sales personnel, and customers to educate them about the features and benefits of our products and services.
  • Serve as an internal resource on product issues, representing customer needs.
  • Continuously update personal knowledge of Victaulic products, competitive products, and piping markets.
  • Provide assistance in local product regulatory matters within EMEA when requested.
  • Perform additional related projects as assigned by the Manager of Applications Engineering

About You   

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (electro-mechanical, materials, chemical, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, proficient in English, written and oral; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
  • Organizational skills and ability to set priorities required.
  • Knowledge of piping systems necessary (such as HVAC, Industrial Mining/Municipal water systems, and/or Oil/gas); knowledge of building construction preferred.
  • Ability to apply theoretical analysis of fluid control/fluid mechanics preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe up to 25% of the time (also to Africa, Middle East, and India when required).
  • Valid driver’s license.
