Victaulic is seeking a dynamic and engaging Human Resources Office Manager for our manufacturing facility in Leland, North Carolina. This key position provides employee support while driving Human Resource functional excellence and process improvement. As the Human Resource Office Manager, you will lead a team in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating HR activities. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, organize, and facilitate practices and programs to attract and retain employees. Participate in Job/Career Fairs and other recruiting activities.
  • Schedule Interviews with Supervisors and conduct interviews.
  • Administer pre-employment testing.
  • Conduct background checks 
  • Conduct new hire orientation.
  • Enter new hire information into Workday. Scan employee documents into Workday.
  • Track new hire performance reviews.
  • Track attendance and administer discipline.
  • Maintain training matrix.
  • Post Job Bids and Awards.  Transfer employees as required to new jobs.
  • Assist employees with questions.  Including questions on paychecks, benefits, and work rules.
  • Coordinate and facilitate hourly employee events (Family Fun Day, Health Fair, Employee Appreciation Luncheons, Service Award Dinner, etc.). 
  • Administer disciplinary action.
  • Interpret policies and procedures for Supervision and Management.
  • Serve as staff on a variety of committees, prepare and present staff reports and other correspondence. 
  • Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in human resource management. Recommend and implement upgrades to existing technology systems.
  • Coordinate assigned activities with other departments, divisions and outside agencies; provide complex administrative support to the Human Resources Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

  1. Conflict resolution techniques and skills.
  2. Management skills to analyze programs, policies and operational needs.
  3. Principles and practices of program development and administration.
  4. Principles and techniques of personnel records management.
  5. Pertinent federal, state and local laws.

Ability to:

  1. Manage a wide variety of activities and staff in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Assign priorities and meet deadlines.
  3. Use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
  4. Interpret, apply, explain and enforce applicable policies and procedures.
  5. Demonstrate respect and sensitivity for cultural differences.
  6. Exercise tact, discretion and prudence.
  7. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  8. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management and Supervision.

Experience:

Four years of increasingly responsible human resource management or benefits administration experience.

Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resource management, public administration, business administration or a related field.
