People & Culture Advisor – New Zealand
Location: Auckland, New Zealand (Hybrid: 4 days in-office)

Join us as our People & Culture Advisor – New Zealand, where you'll be the go-to person for all people-related matters across our NZ operations. Reporting to the Australia-based People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in shaping a positive workplace experience.
You’ll provide expert guidance to managers and team members on workplace policies, employment legislation, and best-practice approaches—ensuring consistency, compliance, and a thriving team culture.
Collaborating closely with our People & Culture Business Partners, Payroll, and the wider Australia–NZ team, you’ll help drive initiatives that elevate employee engagement, strengthen compliance, and foster organisational wellbeing.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Act as the frontline of People & Culture support for VetPartners NZ: respond to employee queries, interpret policies, and advise on day-to-day people matters
• Support leaders in managing employee relations, including performance conversations and issue resolution
• Assist in programs related to learning & development, employee engagement, well-being, and diversity & inclusion
• Partner with Payroll, Safety, Talent Acquisition, and other functions to ensure smooth people operations across the business
What We're Looking For:
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline
• 2–3 years' experience in a People & Culture Advisor or Coordinator role
• Knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and modern workplace practices
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Empathy, discretion, and a people-first mindset
