Full-Time Practice Manager – Vetfriends Chatswood

Are you an experienced and people-focused leader looking to take the next step in your career? Vetfriends Chatswood is seeking a Full-Time Practice Manager to lead our friendly and passionate team in delivering outstanding veterinary care and client service. 

You will need to have a Vet Nurse background either in a Senior or Head Vet Nurse position.

About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the hospital. You’ll work closely with the Lead Vet and wider team to ensure smooth workflow, staff development, and an exceptional client experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide effective support to veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including animal handling, IV catheter placement and blood collection

  • Leading and supporting a team of passionate vets and nurses

  • Overseeing daily operations, rostering, and inventory management

  • Driving client service excellence and a positive workplace culture

  • Managing financial and business performance metrics

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members

  • Contributing to hospital growth initiatives and continuous improvement

About You
You’ll be an organised, proactive, and approachable leader who thrives in a dynamic clinical environment. Ideally, you have:

  • Previous experience in veterinary, healthcare, or service-based management

  • Certificate IV in Vet Nursing and experience as a Senior Vet Nurse or Head Vet Nurse

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • A passion for team development and client care

  • Business acumen and an understanding of operational KPIs

  • The ability to balance empathy with efficiency
