Vet Nurse
Description
Taradale Vet Hospital is a well-equipped clinic with a multi-vet team supported by a Practice Manager and qualified vet nurses. Our clinic is well equipped - including full in-house laboratory capability (IDEXX), digital radiography, dental x-rays, and ultrasound. A wide range of surgical procedures are performed, including complex soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries.
Due to an internal promotion, the opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Nurse to join our busy team covering 40 hours per week.
As a Veterinary Nurse at Taradale Vet Hospital, you will be working alongside experienced Vets and Vet Nurses, covering an interesting and varied case load! Our Nurses are responsible for surgical admission & preparation, surgical operation, anaesthetic monitoring, post-operative care, out-patient care, nurse consults, and client education - including weight management and behavioural appointments, etc.
Nurses also have time on reception shifts, which we find encourages cohesion throughout the team. We believe in empowering our nurses to utilise all their skills, and to reach their full potential within the clinic. The role is varied and will provide you with enough challenges to help in your development but also in your success as a nurse!
We are now supported by the recently opened, dedicated after-hours clinic in Hawke's Bay. We are closed on Sundays and have a light shared Saturday roster which allows for excellent work-life balance.

- Financial rewards for outstanding performance and living our CARE values
