Full-Time Business Manager – Hurlstone Park Veterinary Hospital
Are you ready to take the next step in your career and move into multisite management within a purpose-driven industry?
Hurlstone Park Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Full-Time Business Manager to guide our team and ensure the continued success of our thriving, community-focused clinic. With plans to expand into multisite oversight once key performance goals are achieved and business needs evolve.
About Us
Hurlstone Park Veterinary Hospital has been a trusted name in pet care for many years, known for its compassionate approach and high standard of veterinary excellence. As part of the VetPartners network, we’re proud to blend a warm, local-clinic feel with the resources and professional support of a national veterinary group.
About the Role
This leadership position is key to the hospital’s ongoing success. Working closely with the Lead Veterinarian, you’ll oversee business operations, financial performance, team development, and client satisfaction.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the clinic’s culture, supporting the team, and ensuring we deliver both exceptional care and a seamless client experience.
The position will initially focus on managing a single site, with view to expand into a multi-site leadership role.
What You’ll Do
Oversee and improve the clinic’s day-to-day operations for efficiency and client satisfaction.
Lead, inspire, and support the team to achieve high performance and engagement.
Manage business planning, budgets, and key financial outcomes to ensure sustainable growth.
Partner with the Lead Veterinarian to align clinical and operational goals.
Ensure compliance with all safety, HR, and veterinary standards.
Drive continuous improvement and implement company-wide initiatives at the clinic level.
About You
You’re a confident, people-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You combine strong business acumen with empathy, communication skills, and a hands-on approach to leadership.
You’ll bring:
Experience in business management, operations, or a leadership role (veterinary, healthcare, retail, or hospitality experience highly regarded).
A proven ability to manage budgets, analyse business data, and achieve commercial targets.
Experience in leading and developing teams to reach their full potential.
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
A proactive mindset, with a genuine passion for helping people and pets thrive.
Veterinary experience isn’t essential — success in this role comes from strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to partner effectively with veterinary professionals.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
Be part of a respected, long-standing veterinary practice with a close-knit team.
Collaborate with an experienced Lead Vet and dedicated support staff.
Access ongoing professional development and leadership support through VetPartners.
Competitive salary and benefits, with the potential to expand your role as the business grows.
A rewarding role where you can make a tangible difference to people, pets, and business performance.
Ready to step into a meaningful leadership role?
If you’re an experienced manager who enjoys driving success through people, culture, and strategy — we’d love to meet you.
