About the role:

As a Casual Animal Attendant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our patients and hospital team by:

• Preparing the hospital and wards for incoming patients.

• Cleaning cages, bedding and maintaining a hygienic hospital environment.

• Feeding patients according to instructions.

• Walking patients at scheduled times.

• Assisting veterinary nurses with their duties.

• Monitoring patients and reporting any concerns to the team.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who can:

• Be flexible and adaptable to work casual shifts as needed.

• Work with initiative, while also taking direction well.

• Communicate clearly and effectively.

• Be reliable, compassionate, and confident.

• Show excellent organisation and time management skills.

• Demonstrate care and respect for all animals.

• Have a genuine interest in learning new skills.

• (Preferable) Be studying Cert II or III in Animal Studies, though all applicants are encouraged to apply.
