Senior People & Culture Business Partner
Location: Melbourne, Victoria (Hybrid: 4 days in-office)

As the Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will take on a pivotal role in shaping people strategies across our multi-site veterinary network. This dynamic position will see you managing the full employee lifecycle, leading change initiatives, and providing expert guidance on employee relations.

This role features a hybrid work arrangement, with four days in the office or in clinic, to promote collaboration, build strong connections, and enhance team engagement.
What You'll Be Doing:
Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and guidance on complex employee matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and compliance with employment laws and policies. You’ll play a trusted role in helping managers navigate challenges and build strong, engaged teams.
Employee Lifecycle Management: Partner with managers to oversee key moments in the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all.
Workplace Wellbeing and Mental Health: Champion initiatives that promote mental health and wellbeing, providing resources and support to managers and teams to create a safe and supportive workplace.
Policy and Compliance: Ensure that all practices comply with workplace laws, safety regulations, and company policies, proactively addressing potential risks and safeguarding the organisation.
Driving HR Excellence: Act as a champion for VetPartners’ culture and values, helping to build a positive and inclusive work environment where employees feel valued and supported, and managing and mentoring People & Culture Business Partners and Advisors to develop capability and a proactive approach
What We're Looking For:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a People & Culture Business Partner or similar role
Demonstrated expertise in complex employee relations and change management
A background in multi-site operations and a commercial, solutions-focused mindset
Proven experience managing the full employee lifecycle, including remuneration reviews and performance management
Exceptional communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
A proactive approach to fostering workplace mental health and wellbeing initiatives
