Are you an experienced Veterinary Nurse looking to take the next step in your career?
Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is seeking a qualified, compassionate, and skilled nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position for an experienced Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV required) with 2–5+ years of vet nursing experience post-qualification. You will work closely with our veterinarians and report to the Head Nurses, Lead Vet, and Practice Manager.

Your role will be varied and rewarding – no two days are the same! You’ll rotate between clinical nursing, surgical support, inpatient care, nurse consults, and reception.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting vets in consults, procedures, and surgery.

  • Performing nurse consults such as:

    • Dental assessments

    • Follow-up injections (e.g. Beransa, Cytopoint)

    • Weight checks and preventative health care discussions

  • Monitoring anaesthetics and providing excellent inpatient care.

  • Supporting clients with outstanding customer service and compassion.

  • Covering reception when required, including bookings, payments, and client communication.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (essential).

  • At least 2–5 years’ nursing experience post-qualification (essential).

  • Confident in both clinical and client-facing roles.

  • Comfortable performing nurse consults and supporting surgical/medical cases.

  • A team player with excellent communication and time management skills.

  • Compassionate, professional, and dedicated to patient and client care.

Hours

  • Full-time, rotating shifts for fairness.

  • Morning shifts start as early as 7:30am and evening shifts are rostered to finish at 7:00pm.

  • Availability for 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:00am–5:00pm) is required.
