Contracts & Proposal Assistant

***This is a Part-Time Remote position requiring approximately 5-20 hours per week.***
Ventus Solutions, a fast growing government contracting company is seeking a Contracts and Proposal Assistant to support our Contracts Manager on a variety of tasks. The position requires someone who has strong attention to detail to enter data in our contract and timekeeping system; review new contracts; review contract modifications and identify areas of concern to be followed up on. Ideal candidate is a team player who works regularly with accounting to ensure accurate invoicing and with recruiting to ensure candidate resumes are formatted correctly and match the required qualifications.

Specific duties include:
- Review contract performance data regularly and identify where we are nearing funding limits.
- Follow up with performers to obtain planning data to support requests for additional funding.
- Consider and take multiple necessary actions as contract mods are received, including entering contract data in Unanet, updating contract tasks and assigned performer data, and notifying task leads of additional authorized hours, as well as current usage status.
- Review contracts, NDAs and Teaming Agreements and identify anticipated areas of concern.
- Understand Statements of Work and comply with Contract Reporting Requirements.
- Format candidate resumes to comply with proposal requirements, including mapping specific technical requirements from the RFP (by paragraph number) to specific resume accomplishments.
- Complete compliance matrices for proposed candidates by taking resume entries and matching them with specific technical requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Some experience demonstrating financial understanding, which may include, but is not limited to; financial transactions, accounts receivables, accounts payable, contract administration, invoice reconciliation, and data.
- Professional written and verbal communications skills to convey complex topics in a clear, concise and unambiguous fashion.
- Demonstrated experience in applying critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools as well as the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Familiarity with government contracting is desired.
