Senior Director Product Marketing
Description
Senior Director, Product Marketing — Cybersecurity
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Director of Product Marketing to lead go-to-market strategy for our cybersecurity product portfolio. This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role that sits at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing. You will own how our solutions are positioned, messaged, and brought to market — translating complex security capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with CISOs, security engineers, and enterprise buyers.
You will manage a team of product marketers and work closely with product management, demand generation, field sales, and executive leadership to accelerate pipeline and revenue growth.
What You'll Do
Own the Narrative
- Define and own the product marketing strategy for our cybersecurity portfolio, including positioning, messaging frameworks, and competitive differentiation
- Develop a deep understanding of the vendor landscape, buyer personas, and market dynamics to inform product positioning and GTM motions
- Build and maintain a compelling corporate narrative that spans product lines and resonates across buyer segments
- Craft the narrative for strong POVs that challenge the status quo and speak to the future of where AI and cybersecurity are going
Be in the Field
- Develop deep, direct relationships with CISOs and security leaders to pressure-test messaging – this role isn’t for someone who wants to sit on the sidelines
- Act as a company spokesperson: develop and deliver our POV at RSAC, Black Hat, customer summits, and analyst events
- Bring field intelligence back to shape positioning, content, and product roadmap input, using the lens of how buyers buy and sellers sell to drive decisions
Build and Run a High-Performance Team
- Manage and grow a team of 4–7 product marketers; set a high bar for craft, speed, and business impact and manage and coach effectively to drive business results
- Run a tight operating cadence: quarterly messaging reviews, competitive updates, field feedback, launch retrospectives, and win/loss analysis
- Foster a culture where the team spends time with customers and prospects
- Embed AI into how your team works: content generation, personalization at scale, competitive monitoring, and sales tool development
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 6 years in product marketing and 3+ years managing teams
- Deep cybersecurity domain expertise — you can hold your own in a technical conversation about cloud security, data security posture management (DSPM), identity, email security, etc.
- Experience marketing to enterprise security buyers
- Track record of building and landing category-defining narratives at a high-growth security company
Skills & Mindset
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, especially with executive-level audiences
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to synthesize market data, customer insights, and product capabilities into crisp positioning
- Comfort operating at both the strategic and tactical levels; not afraid to get hands on
- AI-first: you use AI tools every day, have strong opinions about where they add value in marketing workflows
- Prioritizes ruthlessly: you know the difference between important and urgent, and you protect your team's focus accordingly
