What You Will Do:

The Staff RN is responsible for the provision and supervision of nursing care to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation patients in accordance with department policies and procedures. The Staff RN will be responsible for performing a variety of duties within the Cardiac Rehab and Testing Departments.
Experience
Prior experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehab, Cardiac, or Pulmonary nursing preferred. Must have two years of clinical experience with telemetry. Experience in a cardiac step-down unit, CCU, or two years clinical experience in an Emergency Room preferred.

Certification & Licensures
RN Nursing License in Virginia required
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications
Must have strong assessment skills and be able to make independent decisions based upon nursing assessment Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with patients, employees, members of the medical staff, local business leaders and the community
