Opportunity Summary:
At Upland Audience Engagement, our goal is to be the trusted MarTech provider for organizations and brands to measurably connect with their customers and supporters. We help our customers focus on what matters. With a portfolio of 5 purpose-built Martech products, the successful candidate will be part of the team that drives Audience Engagement’s go to market engine forward, through insight, storytelling, passion and analytics.
Primary Responsibilities:
Working with the Audience Engagement product marketing team you will be part of our small but mighty squad of five, owning your own product within our martech portfolio. You will play an integral part in crafting strategy, gathering intel, and creating content to support both our customers and internal stakeholders. You’ll not only work closely with your product marketing teammates, but also cross-functionally with teams including customer success, sales, product, and marketing.
The product marketing manager role is a critical component in creating and executing effective go to market strategies. Our goal is to combine consistency and scalability across our portfolio while also celebrating the uniqueness of each product. This includes responsibilities such as translating product roadmaps, planning and executing product launches, creating compelling content, distilling market and competitive intelligence, creating internal and customer-facing communications, as well as delivering effective sales enablement programs.
Requirements:
- Customer-centric, inquisitive mindset
- Clear and compelling writing and messaging skills, including for market-facing content including blogs, guides, one-pagers and slide decks
- Ability to translate product and technical content into customer-facing messaging and communications
- Competitive and market research and analytics skills
- Ability to learn and understand the technical side of software products
- Effective cross-functional collaboration, including across sales, customer success, product, and marketing teams
- Strong communication skills, including market-facing and with internal stakeholders
- Ability to develop and execute a variety of business strategies, including marketing, product and go to market strategies
- Strong usage of Microsoft Office, especially Powerpoint and Excel
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign and Photoshop
- Understanding of martech software and the general market and competitive landscape
- Salesforce experience, especially in utilizing reporting capabilities
