Opportunity Summary:

The primary function of the Senior Tax Accountant is to prepare and maintain income tax provision workpapers and support tax compliance and maintain company tax records. To be a Tax Senior typically requires a minimum of three years of experience in taxation; more than five preferred.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support the relationship and work closely with external tax advisors;
  • Perform initial reviews of tax returns and related documents to ensure compliance with federal, state and international laws.
  • Organizes and recommends payment of income and other taxes due;
  • Periodically updates federal, state, international tax rate & related schedules from authoritative 3rd party sources to ensure most recent tax rates & related schedules are used in quarterly & annual provisions and in tax returns;
  • Stays aware of the impact of new tax laws and proposed legislation;
  • Pursues refunds, credits and incentives as the company moves into new markets or new locations to maximize tax benefits to the company;
  • Review and finalize quarterly Tax Provision forecast provided by FP&A team to support quarterly provisions;
  • Prepare quarterly and annual Management Fee allocations of SSO’s (Shared services organization) costs to various IP owners in US/CAD/UK/IRE.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions and various tax computations and supporting schedules;
  • Support U.S. and international tax compliance process, including subpart F income, GILTI, foreign tax credits, and expense allocations.
  • Support annual transfer pricing planning and studies and reviews quarterly and annual calculations to ensure correct rates and underlying calculations are materially correct;
  • Support preparation and maintenance of worldwide transfer pricing documentation, including master file, local files, and country-by-country reporting;
  • Support and perform research and analysis to support management decision-making regarding complex technical tax issues;
  • Attend professional development and training sessions;
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience in fast-paced environment, highly driven with the ability to conduct multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Individual contributor but willing to teach/mentor;
  • CPA license in good standing preferred;
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in tax accounting (five years+ preferred);
  • Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
  • Driven professional to ensures deadlines are met sooner rather than later;
  • Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture;
  • Full competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks;
  • Work effectively in a professional team environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects, especially long-term;
  • Bachelor or Masters (preferred) degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or related field;
  • Able to manage multiple complex projects and deliver in a timely manner.
