Senior Accountant
Description
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Manila to be responsible for monthly and quarterly financial reporting. This position assists the Junior Accountant and the Accounting Supervisor with processing, recording, and reporting of the financial transactions, as well as monthly reconciliation report preparations and audit compliance.
This position will work the early morning shift (7a-4p Philippines Time) to collaborate with U.S. leaders, counterparts and team members.
Responsibilities
- Prepare month end closes, including journal entries, workpaper preparation and analysis.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for internal financial reporting.
- Key liaison with internal and external tax and audit professionals.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with company personnel, departments, and management to communicate financial results.
- Partner with Divisional Strategic Planners to ensure visibility into accounting systems for forecasting/budgeting purposes.
- Assist with system integration from QuickBooks to Dynamics 365
The Senior Accountant must be able to:
- Manage and meet business critical reporting deadlines.
- Effectively research and resolve issues that may arise.
- Provide excellent customer service and effectively communicate financial information to all levels of the organization.
- Generate and present relevant and actionable information to management as requested
- Design and maintain new process/accounting systems and lead change management effort to align with corporate goals.
- Manage multiple systems that process accounting transactions to produce financial statements.
- Generate, present and effectively communicate relevant and actionable information to management as requested.
- Effectively lead others to accomplish goals/objectives and coach, mentor and develop team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting (CPA preferred)
- 3-7 years progressive experience in general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation,
- Experience working for a US publicly traded company helpful
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles as well as PHP GAAP (also SEC helpful)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
- Experience with QuickBooks and Dynamics 365 and system integration helpful
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Keen attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective analytical skills
- Must be able to work 5 days per week at our BGC Office in Taguig.
