The Associate Solutions Consultant supports the sales team throughout the sales process by providing product, technical, and industry expertise. In this developmental role, the Associate Solutions Consultant will partner closely with Sales Representatives and team leadership to learn how to align Tyler’s K12 ERP software to client needs. You will participate in every stage of the sales cycle for both prospects and existing clients from gathering client requirements to preparing and delivering tailored product demonstrations. This role is designed for individuals looking to grow their skills in pre-sales consulting, with mentorship and learning opportunities provided to help you progress toward a full Solutions Consultant role. This position includes eligibility for a sales commission plan.
 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, relevant, and impactful solution demonstrations via web and on-site presentations.
  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives to contribute to effective strategies that align with client needs and sales objectives.
  • Participate in discovery meetings to help gather business requirements from prospects and clients and translate that information into  effective demonstration strategies.
  • Build knowledge of Tyler’s K12 ERP solutions and the K12 industry to become a trusted subject matter expert over time. Participate in ongoing product and industry training.
  • Assist the team in responding to Requests for Information/Proposals, contributing product.
  • Actively engage in internal learning and improvement initiatives to build consulting skills, product expertise, and strategic thinking to contribute to team success.

 

Qualifications

  • Some experience delivering or assisting with product presentations or client-facing meetings preferred.
  • Exposure to sales cycles or pre-sales processes is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of ERP software or a strong desire and ability to learn quickly.
  • Familiarity with the K12 industry or Tyler’s solutions is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • A self-starter with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow into a Solutions Consultant role.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a remote and distributed team environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-75% of the time, including a valid driver’s license.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
