Quality Engineering Technician (TINC-MFG) - 1st Shift

Description

Join a team of professionals where you will be responsible for assuring that the outgoing product for assigned parts/customers meets all contractual requirements in a manner that supports cost effective on-time product deliveries. Also assists in documenting, implementing and maintaining quality systems and process.

  • Supporting Engineering in creation, reviewing, and verification of inspection plans as complete in capturing all required drawing and contractual elements.
  • Supporting on-site customer source inspection activity with all required inspection and documentation evidence packages.
  • Supporting required customer data submittal including waivers, process capability, and special process approval records.
  • Monitoring and maintaining progress with all internal nonconformance report (NCR) and manufacturing review board (MRB) activities.
  • Supporting first article inspection (FAI) and PPAP documentation.
  • Uploading new or revised documents to QMS software, route for approvals, tracking approval progress, releasing and distributing approved documents.
  • Integrating statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and maintain visibility, of critical to quality features as well as in process controls.
  • Reviewing vendor certifications of conformance to ensure all material meets contractual requirements.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Bring Your Expertise:

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or a related engineering field. Related experience can be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100.
  • Working knowledge of blueprint interpretation and GD&T
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • CMM experience preferred.
  • Must maintain adequate near vision by means of annual test, as applicable
  • Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 25 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
