Overview:

GUS Canada Colleges is seeking a proficient and experienced IT Accounting Systems Support and SaaS Platform Specialist to ensure the seamless operation of our accounting systems, oversee backup / restore procedures, and enhance the IT infrastructure and support for our other SaaS Implemented software(s)/platform(s). The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with accounting systems within medium to large-sized companies and a strong background in IT networking, particularly in cloud architecture and LAN/WAN settings.  

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain the day-to-day operation of accounting systems, ensuring its smooth functionality and reliability.  
- Implement and oversee backup procedures to ensure data integrity and security, regularly verifying and testing backups to ensure their restorability.  
- Collaborate with the finance team to strategize and implement improvements to the accounting system IT infrastructure, enhancing efficiency and performance.  
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users encountering related issues, ensuring timely resolution.  
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of the system to identify potential areas for improvement and optimization.  
- Act as a liaison between end-users and IT support, offering guidance and training to users on accounting system functionalities and best practices.  
- Stay updated with the latest developments and advancements in accounting systems and related IT technologies, recommending and implementing relevant updates or upgrades.  
- handling in-depth troubleshooting and backend analysis for IT Operations SaaS platforms, including, but not limited to, space booking software, mail management software, queue management solutions, and more  
- Engaging in market research, R&D and vendors’ communication for future solutions to improve overall IT operations service delivery  

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.  
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with accounting systems in medium to large-sized companies.  
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.  
- Strong background in IT networking, including cloud architecture and LAN/WAN settings.  
- Ability to evaluate, plan, and implement improvements to accounting system IT infrastructure.  
- Experience working with SaaS implementations, both prior and post implementation.  
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team.  
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users effectively.  
- Certifications in relevant IT networking certifications will be an asset.
