Position Overview:    

Instructors of Business Diploma Programs are responsible for facilitating a dynamic learning environment, overseeing lesson plans, lectures, and assessments, and shaping future business leaders through active class engagement, academic support, and developing academic resources and materials.    

 Will currently recruiting for Parttime Instructors to teach the following courses:    

  1. Organization Behaviour
  2. Managing Financial Resources
  3. Marketing Principles
  4. Principles of Accounting
  5. Fundamentals of Business Communication

Working Conditions:    

Classes for May 2024 will be scheduled on any day(s) from Mondays to Thursdays; 9am-12noon, 3pm-6pm and 6pm to 9pm. The learning delivery methods will involve both in-person (requiring on-campus presence per class schedule) and online instruction.    

Responsibilities:    

  • Develop and deliver an engaging learning environment using available resources and various teaching methods to effectively achieve course objectives.
  • Manage lesson planning, assignments, class, and assessments of the student’s work to ensure students understand course goals and expectations.
  • Facilitate discussions, provide feedback, and encourage active student participation during classes.
  • Utilize various teaching methodologies that challenges the mind to produce innovative ideas while simultaneously cultivating critical thinking and rational reasoning skills in students.
  • Provide academic support to students inside and outside of the classroom (regularly scheduled office hours, email, group study sessions, etc.).
  • Participate in relevant department and faculty meetings to stay informed and contribute to faculty responsibilities.
  • Keep abreast of changes globally and industry wide to ensure knowledge of best practices is being imparted to students.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required. 

Education and Experience:    

  • At a minimum, a bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a relevant subject.
  • Professional designations where applicable or similar are preferred and technical certification/diplomas, which demonstrate subject matter knowledge, are strongly recommended.
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience in a post-secondary environment or equivalent work experience in a related field or a combination of both.
  • Previous experience in teaching, student supervision, delivering constructive and impactful support and feedback at the college or university level is required.
  • Experience in online teaching is considered an advantage.

  • Proficiency in evaluating and improving curriculum.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player.
  • Openness to learning and adapting to new technologies and teaching methods.
  • Ability to be aware of and manage individual student needs.
  • Proficient in Learning Management Systems, particularly skilled in using Canvas and MS Office applications.
