Tribalco is actively seeking a certified IT professional to join our rapidly growing team.  The Network Planner/SME is part of an integrated Customer Support team responsible for providing the ARMY Information Technology Portfolio of Services to organizations and users serviced by the Network Enterprise Center – Kwajalein (NEC-KA).  The NEC-KA is located on an Army Garrison in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.  This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform work in a complex information technology (IT) Army Enterprise environment involving NEC-KA and Regional Cyber Center Pacific (RCC-P) security assets with distributed access control/ limited permission sets for a government-owned, contractor-operated local Network Enterprise Center (NEC) that is approximately 2,500 miles from the supporting Regional NEC
  • Facilitate close coordination, communication and partnership with NEC-KA teammates, the Regional NEC–Hawaii and RCCP
  • Develop and implement solutions for recurring network infrastructure issues
  • Automate routine tasks and monitoring of network infrastructure
  • Develop rough order of magnitude estimates for replacement and maintenance costs
  • Provide integration planning and analysis, develop detailed estimates
  • Evaluate design plans and recommend necessary changes in network infrastructure design.  Conduct complex technical evaluation
  • Analyze problems, evaluate technical issues, test, maintain, modify, integration and monitor existing network infrastructure
  • Develop technology strategies for modernization of network infrastructure
  • Create initial sets of “as built” or “as is” network infrastructure documentation
  • Assist with writing and updating detailed Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP)
  • Create and maintain network infrastructure Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configuration templates
  • Assist with project plan development and estimates
  • Develop Request for Change (RFC) and required documentation for network changes and present to Technical Review Board (TRB) for approval before implementing changes

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 5+ years relevant experience
  • Additional training, certification, and/or years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Must possess and maintain DoD 8140.01/8570.01-M IAT Level II certification, CISSP preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain DoD 8140.01/8570.01-M computing environment certification, CCNA-Security required, CCNP preferred
  • Must possess ITIL Foundations certification

Security Clearance/Background

  • Position requires that candidate possess a Top Secret security clearance to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position
  • US Citizenship is typically required for a security clearance

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to relocate and reside at the U.S. Army Garrison – Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (USAG-KA).  You must meet current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19 to enter the Republic of the Marshall Islands 
  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport
  • Pre-employment health screening is required due to remote location and limited medical and dental capabilities on the island
  • Ability to ride a bicycle or walk at least 2 miles to/from work daily. There are no personally owned vehicles allowed on USAG-KA. Transportation is primarily by bicycle.
  • Ability to travel by plane or small sea going vessel between working locations.
  • May be required to work overtime
  • Rotational call back and emergency duty are requirements of this position
