Tribalco is seeking an Infrastructure Drawing Specialist (Drafter) to join our integrated team responsible for delivering the ARMY IT Portfolio of Services to organizations and users serviced by the Network Enterprise Center – Kwajalein (NEC-KA). The Infrastructure Drawing Specialist (Drafter) will develop and maintain cable plant records as well as inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) drawings. This position reports to the Unified Communications Manager. The NEC-KA is located at the US Army Garrison – Kwajalein Atoll (USAG-KA) in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cable records for both copper and fiber, and include information regarding service types, such as circuits and system types, and update records as changes occur, per ANSI TIA/EIA 606A and in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Army standards.
- Develop and maintain ISP/OSP drawings that include such information as cable vault size, maintenance hole butterflies, duct configuration, cable placement, cable distances, cable type, cable size, cable identifiers, and splice connections.
- Submit electronic and hard copy cable records and drawings as required for Government approval.
- Maintain to-scale drawings in the current version of AutoCAD.
- Maintain an electronic and hard copy plant-in-place (PIP) drawing library.
- Maintain/utilize Army systems as the only official source for managing and storing engineering drawings.
- Create and maintain detailed and accurate Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) that document work processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ experience developing engineering drawings for telecommunication systems with AutoCAD.
- Army NEC experience highly preferred.
- Associate’s Degree preferred.
Security Clearance/Background
- Position requires that the candidate possess a SECRET security clearance in order to access classified information. The inability to maintain a security clearance will result in the candidate being ineligible for this position.
- US Citizenship is typically required for a security clearance.

Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to relocate and reside at the USAG-KA in the RMI. You must meet current vaccination requirements for infectious diseases to enter the RMI. Must also be willing to meet any future vaccination requirements if mandated by the RMI.
- Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
- Pre-employment health screening is required due to the remote location and limited medical and dental capabilities on the island.
- Ability to ride a bicycle or walk at least 2 miles to/from work daily. There are no personally owned vehicles allowed on USAG-KA. Transportation is primarily by bicycle.
- Ability to travel by plane or small sea-going vessel between working locations.
- May be required to work overtime.
- Rotational callback and emergency duty are requirements of this position.
