Tribalco is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electronics Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
The Electronics Technician will set up and tear down networking and electronics equipment for the assigned unit. The position is responsible for turn-up and training on the communications equipment. Must be able to perform sub-assembly, assembly, and integration of custom-designed electronics equipment with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of C5ISR equipment as appropriate for the task.
- Distinguishes between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
- Plans and performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment.
- Performs fielding, installation, operations, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, over the shoulder training, exercise and test support and maintenance.
- Perform self-inspection and testing of assemblies produced.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical assemblies, document findings and assess root cause.
- May assist with prototyping of new design and providing feedback to engineers.
- Electronic component selection and integration.
- Other tasks and responsibilities relating to the design, build and test of complex electro mechanical systems.
- Must have experience assembling, installing and integrating various equipment, electronics, harnesses, cables and sub-assemblies following established processes.
Desired Skills
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience.
- Skilled in use of electronics rework tools, soldering and microscope equipment and small hand tools including wrenches, drivers and crimpers.
- Attention to detail and good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have hands-on or educational experience in two of the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, or defense Platforms.
Education and Certifications
- AA Degree or equivalent experience - Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline.
Clearance
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
