Responsibilities
- Update, sustain, and administer a high level of security for in-house security infrastructures.
- Identify threats and develop suitable defense measures, evaluate system changes for security implications, and recommend enhancements, research, and draft cyber security white papers, and provide first-class support to the cyber security operations staff for resolving difficult cyber security issues.
- Manage and lead security incident response efforts.
- Collaborating and coordinating with other teams to establish security protocols across the organization.
- Architecting and engineering trustworthy, reliable, and secure systems.
- Maintaining current knowledge of technology capabilities and trends.
- Engineering security hardware to protect systems and installations.
- The ability to evaluate system changes for security implications and the knowledge to make recommendations for improvements.
- Understanding of cybersecurity methodologies.
- Planning, Implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organizations data, systems, and networks.

Education, Requirements and Certifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or equivalent experience.
- Must possess and maintain one of the following: CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP and or GCED.
- Meets or exceeds DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) III requirements.
- Recommended ten (10) years' experience cybersecurity engineering for complex projects or systems of similar scope and complexity including three (3) years' experience in cybersecurity engineering on DoD RMF projects and/or systems.
Clearance
- Active SECRET Clearance OR
- Inactive security clearance with the ability to reactivate.
