Compensation Specialist
Description
- Maintain and update job descriptions, pay ranges, and position data.
- Prepare and validate data for compensation surveys and market benchmarking.
- Support annual merit and quarterly and annual bonus processes.
- Responsible for monthly store bonus processes.
- Create standard reports and spreadsheets to support compensation requests.
- Assist with cost and pay analysis projects under the guidance of the Lead Compensation Analyst to support data-driven pay decisions.
- Research pay data and assist with job evaluations and new role requests.
- Ensure compliance with Torrid’s pay policies and wage and hour regulations.
- Partner with HR and other business partners to provide pay range information and process guidance.
- Document compensation procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of HR, payroll, or compensation experience (related internship or entry-level HR experience welcome).
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as PivotTables and VLOOKUP; eager to learn compensation systems and analytics.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers.
