Description

As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for ensuring the Retail Carton Erector and Print-and-Apply (PnA) run smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Maintain Operations need for empty cartons to meet demand.
 
Job Description: 
  • Operate and Monitor the Retail Carton Erector and Print-and-Apply (PnA) equipment. 
  • Operate Powered Industrial Equipment (Sit-down forklift, powered pallet jack) 
  • Set up Carton Erector and PnA (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed and form).
  • Feed carton flats to Carton Erector machine.
  • Inspect output quality with precision and adjust as necessary.
  • Test operation of machines periodically, as necessary.
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
  • Track carton and barcode label usage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate and assist with and Maintenance and Operations Staff.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures, all Federal, State and OSHA guidelines.
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Work well in a team environment.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:   
  • Satisfy initial and ongoing machine and Powered Industrial Equipment training necessary for success within the role. Training provided by Maintenance Supervisors/Mechanics
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum twelve (12) months related experience in a warehouse environment or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
  • Oral and written communications skills.
  • PC Skills: Microsoft office
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, cope well with change, and maintain composure under pressure.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (with or without reasonable accommodation)
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and lift/move up to 25 pounds. May lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Climb, reach, push/pull.
