The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring a consistent and strong operational, customer- focused, and results-driven environment within the region. The RD will build and lead resilient teams and ensure there is clarity, accountability and alignment across all districts while bringing value to Torrid. This person demonstrates a forward-thinking and strategic approach to the business.   
This position can be based out of Texas, St. Louis, MO, Kansas City, MO, or Chicago, IL.
   
What You’ll Do:   
  • Establish and maintain a superior and consistent Torrid Experience within the region for both internal and external customers.
  • Work with all districts to achieve financial goals, including but not limited to sales plan, comp, KPI performance, payroll and shrink.
  • Lead District Managers to execute the company vision while consistently supporting Torrid initiatives and day-to-day operations.
  • Drive consistent execution across all districts by establishing clear direction and aligning the teams.
  • Embody a pragmatic and strategic approach to the business that is reflected in direct reports by coaching, leading by example and holding self and others accountable daily.
  • Educate District Managers and serve as a resource to provide expertise on business acumen, store operations, staffing, recruiting and company policies and procedures.
  • Apply effective analytical skills by turning complex information into actionable steps for the Regional Director's team to meet objectives.
  • Assess District Managers and identify talent opportunities which impact district performance.
  • Foster an environment of transparency and accountability, ensuring that District Manager tasks, assignments, deadlines, and objectives are met.
  • Attract, retain, and inspire talent by maintaining an environment that promotes transparency, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Ensure consistent up-to-date product knowledge is available and that training is taking place at all levels within the Region.
  • Determine region manpower needs proactively and work with District Managers to maintain a pool of qualified internal and external high caliber candidates.
  • Ensure regional compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to operational, merchandising, financial, administration, compensation, safety and housekeeping, salary and loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication, time-management, and decision-making skills in addition to strong business acumen are essential to this role
  What You'll Need:   
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED. College degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of retail management experience.
  • Knowledge of women's fashion and knowledge of fashion for Torrid targeted market and plus-size customer needs is preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently for store/region visits.
  • Able to move at a quick pace during scheduled hours.
  • Able to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Able to stand and walk around during scheduled hours.
  • Illustrate a dedication to meeting the requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback, and is a solid verbal and written communicator.
