The Allocation Manager will lead a team of allocation analysts to ensure inventory levels, assortments, quantities, and size are appropriate to achieve Torrid’s sales and profitability objectives.
 
What You’ll Do:  
  • Support merchandise financial plans, inventory turn objectives, regional variances and store attributes across merchandise categories.
  • Direct the activities of your allocation team, partnering with the merchants and planners to develop and execute consistent strategies.
  • Direct and manage the process for store ranking and attributing for the major buys, assessing volume rank and capacities.
  • Manage store and store category inventory to appropriate levels, and initiate adjustments as needed to support sales and minimize unproductive excess.
  • Monitor stores and styles to ensure that all appropriate model levels are maintained, fulfilled, and adjusted as needed for key items, out of stock, and fashion.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the allocation team. Train associates on all aspects of allocation and replenishment (process, models, ranks, systems, etc.), and ensure consistent application and use of best practices.
  • Support Information Systems for allocation, collaborating with the IT team as necessary. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to systems and tools to drive accurate allocation.
  • Work closely with cross functional partners in Store Operations, Merchandising, and Planning to identify business opportunities and minimize risks.
  • Build strong collaborative partnerships to meet our shared goals.

What You’ll Need:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of retail experience in allocating and analyzing data required.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Prior experience with retail allocation systems including JDA / Blue Yonder, Oracle, SAS, Tools Group or other large-scale systems is preferred.
