About the Opportunity 

At TM HCCI we believe our supplier relationship and approach to Procurement Excellence is key to supporting our business. With a clear framework, vision and roadmap for procurement and supplier management we can optimise the strengths of our partner relationships and drive the best outcomes for HCCI.   

The role is to advise and guide the team in rolling out and refining the procurement processes and ways of working across the business as the scope of the team increases from primarily being an IT based function to supporting the entirety of the business across the UK and Europe. 

This is a key role within the team, presenting an exciting opportunity for the right individual to grow and broaden their career in Procurement and get a wide variety of exposure not only in improving internal processes, capabilities and systems but also supporting sourcing projects and third party risk. 

The role will act as the initial point of contact for Procurement and Supplier Management queries. This will include fostering and developing relationships with key third parties to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of goods and services from the supply base. 

You will also build excellent internal stakeholder relationships across the organisation to ensure Procurement is a key enabler for business success and to share policy and process best practice to drive adherence and business buy in. 

You will be responsible for administration, process, and key Procurement technologies to support contractual relationships and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services across the supply base.  

Core Responsibilities 

  • Be the first point of contact for day-to-day Procurement activity. Managing requests from across the business
  • Ensuring a standardised P2P process is available across the business and supporting the team and partners to deliver against this process
  • Providing best practice advice in identifying and delivering process improvements
  • Leading on P2P process support and ongoing optimisation of the end to end process
  • Utilising and developing key enabling technologies including the contract management database and the finance system to facilitate efficient workflow across the business
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions to internal stakeholders
  • Coordinating the risk assessments and due diligence of our suppliers during onboarding and annual reviews working closely with other stakeholder departments such as Data Protection and Information Security to ensure all checks are undertaken in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Support in the preparation and running of Supplier Relationship Management activities, arranging monthly reviews, QBR’s and keeping supporting records
  • Maintain timely and accurate data to support budget setting and enabling spend analytics
  • Create the MI and reporting packs for executive level QBR’s
  • Work closely with finance to support prompt and accurate approvals
  • Ensure procurement collateral (Policy and Procedures) are up to date and readily available
  • Supporting Sourcing activities

  

Performance Objectives:   

We are looking for the role to support the Procurement team mature and gain the wider trust and confidence of the business. Having the right personal skills and traits alongside experience within a procurement role is necessary to allow you to effectively communicate procurement benefits and be an integral part in building a function that adds values and the business relies on.  

Skills and Experience Specification: 

  • Strong clear communication skills coupled with excellent stakeholder management ability
  • Experience of improving the full Procurement lifecycle and associated Policy, P2P processes and systems
  • Comfortable taking accountability for process and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience of Contract Management Systems
  • Experience of Amazon Business and Marketplace
  • Familiar with professional services contracts and software agreements
  • Comfortable with liaising with internal stakeholders of all levels
  • Comfortable dealing with supplier queries and questions
  • Power BI or advance Excel skills
  • CIPS qualifications or looking to obtain
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of general Insurance
  • Desirable if understand the Speciality Insurance Market
