TMHCC Stop Loss, a $2 Billion division within TMHCC, leads the way in providing medical stop loss insurance sold to employers. Medical Stop Loss provides an added layer of insurance protection to employers who choose to self-fund their health benefit plans. Self-funding can incur risks from catastrophic claims, and Medical Stop Loss insurance from Tokio Marine HCC is designed to protect employers from that risk.
Hybrid work position with 3 days at our Kennesaw Office and 2 days remote.
Position Summary:
This position will formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify complex information systems and prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. This position designs and manages databases, writes optimal T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers; develops ETL packages using business intelligence tools; extracts reports to files and automates file transfers; builds and publishes dashboards and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with business users to identify current business operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
- Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain programs throughout the product life cycle.
- Review, analyze, and modify programming systems by encoding, testing, debugging, and installing system programs which support the organization’s business processes.
- Data Modeling: Create data models that illustrate relationships between tables and other database objects. Create and document constraints that ensure integrity of data.
- SQL: Create queries that are efficient with an emphasis on performance. Develop stored procedures, views, and functions. Diagnose and tune poorly performing queries. Implement transactions when appropriate to ensure data integrity.
- SQL Service Reporting Services: Create SSR reports as needed. Data sources for these reports will be SQL Server Analysis Services cubes or stored procedures.
- Create Power BI Reports
Education, Experience & Knowledge:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Possess and have ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment
- Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
- T-SQL performance tuning.
- Past success creating database objects (tables, stored procedures, etc.) to support various interfaces and processes.
- Demonstrated experience with database design and analysis.
- Ability to create SQL Server Integration Services packages.
- Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services knowledge is beneficial, but not required.
- Experience working in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, etc.)
