Senior Data Protection Analyst (m/f)

Job Purpose:

The Senior Data Protection Analyst assists the Data Protection Team in Europe to ensure the compliance of Tokio Marine Europe S.A. (TME) and its branches across EU in providing accurate, appropriate, timely and pragmatic data protection advice, striking a balance between legal/compliance requirements and the wider interests of the business in Luxembourg.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the review of the data protection clauses in contracts
• Assist with the implementation of the SCCs 
• Conduct comprehensive Data Protection Impact Assessments
• Provide input to internal policies and procedures
• Assist with writing reports for the Data Protection Committee 
• Conduct Legitimate Interest Assessments 
• Conduct Transfer Impact Assessments 
• Contribute to the maintenance of the Register of Processing Activities
• Ensure compliance with the agreed Record Retention Schedule
• Assist with the provision of data protection training across TME
• Draft data protection communications for the business
• Assist with data protection audits 
• Research international data protection requirements 
• Provide support in the preparation of responses to requests from data subjects to exercise their rights, including but not limited to Data Subject Access Requests
• Assist in maintaining and developing the data protection framework across the Group.
• Update the logs of Data Subject Access Requests, erasure requests, data breaches and near-misses
• The provision of ad hoc data protection support as required

Skills and Experience Specification

• Degree level academic qualification
• A minimum of 3 years data protection and privacy experience 
• Expertise in national and European Data Protection Laws and practises including an in-depth understanding of the GDPR
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Understanding of information technologies and data security
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to promote a data protection culture within the company
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales imposed by legislation and business need
• Good analytical skills, including the ability to assess risk and impact from a privacy and data protection perspective
• Fluent in French and English.
