WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR     
TENCUE is looking for a creative mastermind, a multi-tasker to motivate, inspire, manage, create, and steward new creative technology that challenges status quo assumptions to build masterfully creative events that move audiences to actions.  The right candidate has a combination of creative inspiration and know-how along with solid management and strategy skills.  We are looking for someone who knows how to translate a client's business objectives into artistic brilliance while deeply understanding the intersectionality of the two.     
    
The Executive Creative Director will bring in the best diverse daring talent and foster a culture of collaboration while managing creative teams to create and deliver innovative unforgettable experiences.  They will lead the creative development, strategy, and vision of TENCUE.  They will need to bring a passionate knowledge of event storytelling through creative design.  They are excellent at communicating and distributing that vision to the team and all internal and external stakeholders while continuously streaming information, inspiration and guidance where needed.  They are relentlessly curious and ready to build, grow, and lead a team known as industry innovators.        
    
The Executive Creative Director works closely with the Production, Account, and Finance teams as well as builds strong client relationships.  The Executive Creative Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of all creative initiatives, developing the agency’s creative vision, and nurturing creative talent and teams ensuring delivery of exceptional work that meets and exceeds client expectations.    
     
YOU SHOULD HAVE     
  • 15+ years of experience in experiential design and events, including at least five years in leading a creative team.     
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of experiential design, graphics design, typography, 3D rendering, illustration and video.      
  • Leadership acuity: ability to delegate and provide clear direction.     
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.     
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills based on agency, client, and industry knowledge.     
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.     
  • Strong capability to multitask and prioritize multiple demands.     
  • Ability to design and manage to a budget.     
  • Ability to craft and deliver presentations that sell ideas and expand client relationships.     
  • Willingness and ability to work nonstandard work hours and weekends, and travel as required (30-40%).     

      

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES     
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop a long-term strategic vision for TENCUE.       
  • Responsible for developing the overall creative strategy for the brand, re-enforcing strong brand identity in all communication collateral.     
  • Lead, inspire, and grow the Creative team, fostering a culture that places a premium on ideas, creativity, and innovation to deliver industry-leading creative.     
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Creative team, developing and overseeing best practices for the creative department.       
  • Inspire teams to push creative boundaries. Crafting stories and activations that help brands make an impact in the industry.     
  • Work closely with clients to create original ideas for their live and virtual events, moving audiences to action.     
  • Deliver fresh thinking, innovative creative solutions and impactful storytelling.     
  • Effectively lead client presentations with strong, clear delivery and a credible point of view.     
  • Work closely with Biz Dev and Account Management to respond to RFPs; leading the creative development and process, reviewing and tailoring the portfolio for clients and new business.  Including items such as pitch decks, sizzle reels, case studies etc.     
  • Lead role with clients, with the ability to galvanize and read a room and capture the attention of C-Suite Executives.     
  • Collaborate with account leads, Production, and Finance to see projects from ideation to activation, effectively completing project milestones within the timeframe and on budget.  Ability to maximize revenue potential of programs while exceeding client goals.     

      

Leadership Performance     
  • Serve as an active part of the TENCUE Executive Leadership Team, supporting strategic focus, long-term planning, and relations with the Opus Group Shared Services, Opus Agency, Verve, and MAS     
  • Represent TENCUE at the larger cross-organization meetings (Extended Leadership meetings, All Hands, and more)      
  • Ensure TENCUE Creative is compliant with Opus Group administrative systems and tools.     
  • Lead/manage team and projects to meet EBITDA and margin goals for Production.     
  • Keeping track of the latest advancements and technologies used in creative.     
  • Understand the current live event industry landscape and emerging trends.

HOW WE’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU     
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $180,000 and $210,000. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Physical Requirements:     
Individuals will be required to sit for the majority of the day and will be required to stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required.  Individuals will be required to travel via airplane, train, taxi, car and/or other means of transportation as needed.
