WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
 
The Controller is the Business Partner to The Opus Group and is  responsible for The Opus Group accounting operations including financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and monitoring/enforcing controls.
 
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
  • Manage team of 8-11 employees.
  • Prepare Monthly Financials and participate in significant parts of the close (Revenue Recognition, COGS Accrual and any other high-risk areas).
  • Review Balance Sheet reconciliations prepared by GL team.
  • Participate as part of The Opus Group team as Accounting/Finance Business Partner.
  • Participate in strategy meetings to understand and support the direction setting of the company.
  • Provide support with annual Financial Audit.
  • Provide guidance on UK accounting and tax procedures.
  • Oversee Accounting projects and implement new processes that align to the Company goals.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting and key business metrics to The Opus Group leadership, Department teams and other groups as necessary.
  • Collaborate with functional departments across the company to build and/or enhance reporting needs as necessary.
  • Participate in target setting and ensure that both short- and long-term strategic priorities are met.

YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • 5+ years accounting experience, including a demonstrated history of progressively responsible roles within previous positions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Intermediate to Expert knowledge of Excel
  • Microsoft Suite & Google Suite
  • ERP experience preferably Sage Intacct
  • Experience with international accounting and VAT preferred, but not required
  • Salesforce experience preferred, but not required
  • Service Industry experience preferred but not required

HOW WE’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU
 
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $125,000 and $137,000. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
