You’ll own the health of your Accounts—keeping projects on scope, on budget, and on brand—while building trusted client partnerships that grow over time.
This role works collaboratively with Creative and Production leads to set the tone for each program, drive the success of the project, achieve team objectives and financial targets, and elevate the standard of work across MAS.
This candidate should have their pulse on what is happening at the intersection of automotive and technology, including consumer lifestyle trends, new product pipelines, and EV innovations. The Account Director brings a confident, brand-informed perspective to every client conversation.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
- 10+ years of Account management experience at an experiential, event-marketing, or integrated agency, leading mid-to-large programs ($750K+) end-to-end.
- 5+ years managing Account and project teams, with a track record of coaching less-experienced team members and raising the bar for quality and client service.
- Confident, polished communicator and presenter. Clear in writing, composed in the room, and able to influence with facts, knowledge, and a strong point of view about what is right for the brand.
- Strong financial and project fluency; skilled with creating and interpreting scopes of work, estimates, change orders, reconciliation, and an understanding of how a P&L comes together.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively against team objectives, processes, and budgets, while aligning with senior leadership as needed.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Asana, Slack, Google Workspace, and Google Sheets/Excel.
- Proficiency with multiple video conferencing platforms, including Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and present quantitative and qualitative findings to apply to future events.
- Excellent multitasking skills.
- Passionate about innovation, technology, and how it can drive brand experiences.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the strategic Account lead for all assigned clients. Be the primary client partner and central point of alignment for the internal MAS team, and the key communicator bridging the client's vision with the thinking and execution of MAS Creative, Production, and Strategy. Ensure that the client’s interests are represented inside MAS, and MAS interests are represented with clarity, confidence, and care.
- Lead client relationships. Serve as the senior day-to-day contact, communicate proactively, present a strong point of view, and adapt your approach to each client’s culture and expectations.
- Ensure quality control. Reflect MAS’ values and standards of work across all client deliverables, including presentations, recaps, POVs, and strategic recommendations.
- Drive the project lifecycle end-to-end. From opportunity assessments to creation of MSAs/DPAs/SOWs, Salesforce opportunities, project folders, Slack channels, internal and client kickoffs using MAS templates and processes.
- Manage scope and budgets. Build and track SOWs, POs, change orders, and burn reports; flag risk early; protect minimum margin while delivering work the client loves.
- Lead and align with cross-functional teams. Partner with Production, Creative, Design, Strategy, and Operations; delegate clearly; resolve conflicts; and keep clients aligned to deliverables and timelines.
- Anticipate and problem-solve. Solve complex issues using data, experience, and creative thinking; advise on alternatives proactively; consider the downstream impact of every decision on the project and the broader Account relationship.
- Stakeholder accountability. Provide feedback to both internal stakeholders and external clients on strategy and operational efficiencies. Conduct quarterly reviews with senior management and serve as the escalation point for any critical issues identified by the team and clients.
- Improve how we work. Identify gaps in current processes and contribute to better ones; share knowledge; coach less-experienced team members; and uphold MAS culture, values, and quality standards. Be an active team member who contributes to the growth of the Company.
- Grow the business. Spot organic growth opportunities, contribute to RFPs and pitches via the MAS New Biz Toolkit, and partner with Accounts leadership to vet and shape new opportunities. Manage new business and RFP requests for new projects. Fully participate in new business pitches/leads/brainstorms.

- Client Focus. Deeply committed to client success; builds relationships on trust, strategic insight, and consistent delivery
- Communication & Presentation: Commands the room; writes with clarity and persuasion; adapts communication style to different audiences
- Financial Literacy: Fluent in project financials; drives margin accountability without sacrificing quality or client relationships
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: A natural connector who aligns creative, production, and strategy behind a shared vision
