We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurse Case Managers (RN) in the Newark area to support workers’ compensation cases on a flexible 1099 basis.

Position Overview

As a Field Nurse Case Manager, you will coordinate medical care for injured workers while acting as a liaison between providers, employers, adjusters, and attorneys. You will help guide treatment plans, monitor recovery progress, and support safe, timely return-to-work outcomes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee medical treatment plans for injured workers
Attend medical appointments and evaluate treatment progression
Communicate with providers, employers, attorneys, and insurance carriers
Prepare timely, detailed case management reports
Assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care
Assist with return-to-work planning and transitional duty coordination
Coordinate IMEs and job site evaluations as needed

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license
Minimum 3 years of Workers’ Compensation Field Case Management experience
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
Proficient with technology and electronic documentation systems
Reliable transportation for travel throughout Newark and surrounding areas
Professional liability/malpractice insurance or ability to obtain
CCM, CRRN, or related certifications preferred
Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
