Job Summary:
The IMA Group is seeking an experienced Clinical Rater/Psychometrist to join our team in New York City, functioning as a Sub-Investigator. In this role, you will administer clinical efficacy scales to participants with various psychiatric and neurologic diagnoses, perform diagnostic evaluations and physical exams, determine eligibility for research trials, and manage psychotropic medications for study patients.
The IMA Group is seeking an experienced Clinical Rater/Psychometrist to join our team in New York City, functioning as a Sub-Investigator. In this role, you will administer clinical efficacy scales to participants with various psychiatric and neurologic diagnoses, perform diagnostic evaluations and physical exams, determine eligibility for research trials, and manage psychotropic medications for study patients.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) with relevant clinical and/or research experience, eager to contribute to cutting-edge research and make a meaningful impact in the field of psychiatry.
This is a full-time, 40-hours per week position. One extended day (10:00 AM – 8:00 PM) per week is required, with remaining hours typically scheduled between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $135,000 per year depending on licensure and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and score clinical efficacy scales for psychiatric and neurologic conditions.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and determine trial eligibility based on prescreening assessments.
- Perform physical exams and manage psychotropic medications for research participants, as applicable.
- Maintain compliance with sponsor requirements, study protocols, and internal SOPs.
- Communicate professionally with Sponsors, Study Monitors, and Medical Monitors.
- Complete sponsor-required training and obtain certification for applicable rating scales.
- Attend investigator meetings and study-related conferences as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience administering psychometric rating scales required; 2+ years preferred.
- Licensed NP or PA with at least 2 years of clinical and/or research experience in psychiatric assessments.
- Experience with psychiatric populations is required; experience with neurologic conditions (e.g., Alzheimer’s Disease) is preferred.
- Familiarity with clinical research workflows, including patient visit flow and trial operations, is preferred but not required—we are open to training motivated candidates with strong assessment backgrounds.
