Licensed Psychologist | Disability Evaluations & Testing

Portsmouth, VA | Part-Time | ~2 Days per Month | Paid Per Evaluation

If you’re a psychologist who finds assessment more rewarding than a full treatment caseload, this one’s for you. The IMA Group is looking for a Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to complete disability evaluations out of your own Portsmouth office, a few days a month, with none of the therapy or on-call burden.

Pay Per Unit

  • $55–$65 per psychological test, based on evaluation type

The Work

  • Conduct psychological disability evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults
  • Administer, score, and interpret cognitive and psychological testing
  • Write objective, well-organized reports that inform benefit determinations
  • Set your own pace within a structured, supported process

What Makes This Appealing

  • Easy to fit in: about 2 days a month alongside your current practice
  • Steady referrals: consistent evaluation opportunities, so your time is well used
  • Pure assessment: no therapy, no medication management, no on-call
  • Support behind you: dedicated administrative team handling the back-end details
  • Work that matters: your reports help people get access to benefits and services

Who We’re Looking For

  • Active, unrestricted Virginia Psychologist license
  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology
  • Your own private office in or near Portsmouth, VA (required)
  • Comfortable evaluating patients of all ages
