Job Summary:

IMA Clinical Research is in search of a licensed MD or DO who is board-certified in psychiatry/neurology to assume the role of Principal Investigator (PI) at their Albuquerque office.

The ideal candidate must hold either a DO or MD degree and possess board certification. Prior experience in clinical research as a PI for pharmaceutical industry-sponsored trials is mandatory.

While a willingness to travel is preferred, the position offers a full-time role with a starting salary ranging from $200,000 to $250,000 per year. Please note that compensation is contingent upon factors such as employment status (full-time or part-time), licensure, experience, and certifications.



  • Oversee staff and delegate duties accordingly.
  • Provide required documentation to Sponsor and IRB.
  • Maintain licenses for PI/Sub-I roles.
  • Conduct and oversee clinical investigations.
  • Screen potential subjects based on study criteria.
  • Ensure thorough documentation compliance.
  • Assess and report safety data and protocol issues.



  • MD or DO degree
  • Active medical license
  • Prior experience as a Principal Investigator in pharmaceutical clinical trials
  • Preferably possess diversity and bilingual capabilities
