About the Role

The IMA Group is seeking a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to join our growing provider network. In this role, you’ll conduct independent, non-treatment eye examinations focused on vision loss and visual impairment evaluations. Your work directly supports veterans and underemployed or disabled individuals who are applying for benefits or services. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking flexible, evaluation-only work with no call, no treatment, and no follow-up care.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations related to vision loss and impairment
  • Conduct visual acuity, visual field testing, automated perimetry, and other diagnostic assessments
  • Review medical history and clinical documentation as needed
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and timely medical reports
  • Work in alignment with IMA’s standards for objective, high-quality medical evaluations

Competitive compensation based on completed evaluations. Typical earnings average approximately $75 per evaluation, with the ability to complete multiple evaluations per hour depending on complexity.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD), MD, or DO (Ophthalmology)
  • Active, unrestricted license
  • Board certification preferred
  • Prior experience in a medical office or private practice setting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality medical documentation
