Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Oversee Help Desk function and lead a team of support personnel who troubleshoot IT issues. Implement policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected. Ensure maximum issue resolution in minimum time.

  • Oversee Help Desk support staff ensuring appropriate staffing levels and operating within budget constraints.
  • Ensure assigned employees have career development plans.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) policy and procedure relating to the Windows Infrastructure, Personal Computing, and Help desk Support.
  • Analyze help desk performance through various statistical and reporting methods.
  • Develop a customer care philosophy that ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Implement methodologies to improve first call resolution, manage customer perceptions, and build strong internal relationships.
  • Monitor problem management database and follow up with assigned personnel to ensure timely resolution of problems.
  • Maintain a central source of information enabling Help Desk staff and support technicians to recover outages with minimal disruption to expected service levels.
  • Refine and update technical and business skills through work assignments, advanced technical and business training, attending professional and business industry conferences and activity participating in professional organizations.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objective.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure and/or IT Operations required.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in Transportation/Logistics industry preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Must be able to lead and motivate team to achieve desired results.
  • Must possess proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence others including external vendors and service providers.
  • Must possess strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
