Regional Director, Design-Build

Reporting to the National Design-Build Director, we are looking for a Regional Director, Design-Build who will be responsible for day to day Design-Build business development and operations support in the western half of the US, focusing primarily on transportation and infrastructure projects. This position will interact closely with the STV Transportation and Infrastructure regional offices located in the territory where work will be undertaken. The individual in this position can be located remotely anywhere in the western half of the United States. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • 15+ Years of Experience in Heavy Civil Engineering or Construction is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • PE license required
  • DBIA certification preferred
  • Energetic
  • Established contacts with regional and national heavy civil constructors
  • Strong negotiator
  • Door opener–Seller/Doer
  • Experience managing Design-Build projects
  • Highway, Bridge and/or Rail experience
  • Familiarity with the P3 process
  • Excellent relationships within the design and construction industry

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Identify opportunities and continue STV’s presence as a preferred design firm in Heavy Civil Design-Build
  • Manage relationships within project teams
  • Oversee project proposal process and assure compliance with STV corporate protocols
  • Keep abreast of legislation and funding allocations impacting alternate delivery capital programs
  • Oversee implementation of Design-Build projects on an as-needed basis
  • Work to promote and establish innovation in proposals and project execution
